Media Convergence

 

With the countdown to digital broadcasting, with a final cutover date in February 2009, the convergence of TV and Internet is becoming a reality. From the abc.com lineup of HD programs to streaming movies from Netflix, networks and studios are experimenting with different offerings split between broadcast, internet and DVD offerings, different streaming technologies, and alternate strategies for advertising.
